In partnership with the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration, the city is making improvements to the Anderson Park-Plymouth Woods stream located within the Watts Branch Watershed, which is part of the larger Potomac River Watershed.
The goals are to enhance the watershed through stream restoration, wetlands, and reforestation, and to protect private/public property and infrastructure. The project will also help protect the Chesapeake Bay by improving the watershed's water quality.
Improvements will include:
Reducing erosion threatening public infrastructure, private property and mature trees.
